Ghost Stories that are Better than Fiction.
By Nash Black
Roberta and Lonnie Brown along with friends bring you a seasonal selection of ghost (paranormal) tales that have been told over and over at family gatherings.
SPOOKIEST STORIES EVER: FOUR SEASONS OF KENTUCKY GHOSTS takes the reader through the year proving that manifestations of haunts occur at any time, not just for Hallowe'en.
These are the treasured stories of personal experiences of people who know the veil between the living and the dead is transparent. Not all ghosts are vicious, mean, harmful. Some of have purpose to perform for the living before they can pass over.
Pranks sometimes end in tragedy and The Chivaree is just such a story. If you don't know the meaning of the term shivaree means read the story to discover an old marriage custom.
Roberta and her late sister Fatima were close all their lives. Roberta tells the story of a dream she had in Louisville, Ky, which saved Fatima's life in Tennessee in the story The Night Caller.
You don't need me to preview each story. Read every story, enjoy, dip into them again & again, and remember these are real people who've had experiences no one can explain. This is an exceptionally well done collection.

An entertaining, absorbing and ultimately convincing collection of Kentucky Ghost Stories
By Amazon Customer
Roberta and Lonnie Brown have been listening to ghost stories all their lives and in this book they share them with us. Some were told by family members, some recounted by friends and acquaintances, and some of these strange occurrences happened to the authors themselves. While all of these stories are indeed spooky, more than a few are both charming and comforting. But many are unnerving and some are even terrifying. These stories are short and very enjoyable to read and they are offered as "true stories." While it's easy to raise a jaundiced eyebrow at this notion, the cumulative effect of these plain-spoken tales inspires belief rather than skepticism.

In a very famous ghost tale, Shakespeare reminds unbelievers that

"...this is wondrous strange!
And therefore as a stranger give it welcome.
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

Keep this in mind and I think you'll be swept up in the spell cast by the Browns and their delightfully haunted collection.
