Easy To Use, Interesting Places, Great Photos, Well-Written

Susan Reigler's book made me fall in love with Kentucky. It's not just the way she describes the beauty of the parks and the facilities and brings them to life, but she also gives you the history of each park. A section called "More To Explore" offers possible places to stay in the area, as well as sight-seeing opportunities close to each park. And the photos are fantastic! ... Particularly loved the fox watching the golfer at Mineral Mound!

Great book

This is an excellent summary of the state parks in Kentucky. Good info on each location. The only reason I'm giving it 4 star instead of 5 is that they should have included state historical sites. This is a separate category, but since no other book covers them, they should be in here.

If you are looking for parks to visit in Kentucky and want to get a sense of them this is a very good book. They give you a lot of information on activities and what each park is like.
